SALARY RANGE:               OTE Circa up to £27k depending on experience

 

HOURS:                                37.5 hours per week

 

RESPONSIBLE TO:            Senior Social Enterprise Manager (SSEM)

 

LIAISING WITH:                   Jericho staff, Jericho clients, Jericho partners and customers

SUMMARY:

 

The Jericho Foundation is a registered charity that exists to help those most disadvantaged in the labour market to overcome barriers and become skilled, fulfilled and employed individuals. Jericho operate seven social enterprise businesses which provide training, work experience, apprenticeship and employment opportunities for these individuals whist also delivering goods and services on a commercial basis for our customers.

 

Jericho is setting a Telemarketing team to support the social enterprises to develop and retain business from new and existing customers by the setting of appointments and obtaining new orders over the phone.

 

The primary role of the Telemarketing Supervisor will be the day to day management and implementation of sales and marketing campaigns whilst also providing training, management and supervision of a small team of apprentices and junior staff. Good telemarketing skills and a willingness to train and encourage others is a key element of the role.

 

The job will suit an experienced telemarketing professional with a great communication skills and a desire to make a difference and have a positive impact in the community. The post commences in end November 2014.

There will be an element of Staff supervision/management for those on placement, campaign deadlines are met. The job will be very “hands on” and a proactive, “can do” approach is essential.

 

DUTIES:

 

  1. Day to day “hands on” operation and management of Jericho’s telemarketing activity including but not limited to:

 

  • Assisting with the design and planning of campaigns
  • Management and delivery of sales and marketing campaigns
  • Customer liaison
  • Enquiry completion
  • Proactive contact of potential and existing clients
  • Conversion of enquiries to sales
  • Reporting performance
  • Team training and motivation
  • Managing incentives for team members
  1. Providing training, mentoring, personal development and supervision for up to 6 apprentices and/or junior staff in accordance with their individual needs, barriers and skills.

 

  1. Ensuring that health and safety standards are understood and enforced, setting high personal standards.

 

  1. Supporting the SSEM in developing and expanding the Telemarketing Team section to a successful and profit making centre.

 

  1. To keep records of activities carried out by yourself and those you are supervising and the time spent on them.

 

  1. To implement Jericho’s environmental policy

 

  1. To act as part of a team, in ensuring that comprehensive support is provided for all staff, apprentices and clients on the project.

 

  1. To carry out any other duties deemed necessary by the SSEM
