Jericho ReUsers Social Enterprise – reduce, reuse, recycle & support local people in need

The ReUsers FurnitureThe ReUsers is a vibrant and successful social enterprise set up by The Jericho Foundation in a stunning Victorian property adjacent to the Household Recycling Centre in Norris Way, Sutton Coldfield.  The ReUsers is a place to find all those things that others don’t want, that are simply too good to throw away.  It sells a wide variety of items that are donated, including furniture, clothing, antiques, bric-a-brac, art, toys, exercise equipment and leisure equipment – saving tonnes of reusable goods from landfill or incineration every year.

Furthermore, there is an on-site bike repair specialists “Trikes & Bikes” who sell reconditioned bikes that are inspected and made fully roadworthy.

Recent examples of high quality pre-loved items found at The ReUsers:

  • A most unusual handmade double/twin rocking horse, £40
  • Brand New 13ft banded scaffolding boards available @ £18.50 each
  • A very large 6-door wardrobe in great condition and originally from Rackhams

Also, local artist Paul Chancellor recently created R2JUNK2, a full size version of the Star Wars original, made entirely out of scrap and salvaged junk from The ReUsers, complete with sound and light effects!  Visit our Facebook page to see photos.

Moreover, our ethos is junk is for life and not just for landfill, and that “second hand can be first choice”. A wide range of customers shop with us, from students to people on low income, from “shabby chic” design-lovers to a wide variety of community groups.

Additionally, monies raised by The ReUsers are ploughed directly back into the local community by The Jericho Foundation and fund all of our work with apprentices, survivors of human trafficking and other disadvantaged people facing barriers to employment. All donations and purchases enable us to offer long-term support to many in need, enabling them to become skilled, fulfilled and employed.
