Can you spare some time to help? Volunteers needed at the Wood Shack

Do you enjoy working with wood? Are you an experienced carpenter or just a woodworking enthusiast? Could you spare some time each week? Would you like to make a difference?

At Jericho we work with disadvantaged local people to help them get back into work. We support young people unable to start their career, others who have simply lost their way, and some who are the survivors of human trafficking.

Our Wood Shack recycling social enterprise is a hive of eco-friendly activity! You will work alongside our staff and apprentices – using your carpentry skills and talents for the benefit of local people in real need.

Volunteers carry out a variety of tasks from stripping and polishing donated furniture to more challenging projects. We have a well-appointed workshop and a good stock of reclaimed timber.  The work will be varied and previous projects have involved making compost bins, bat boxes and bespoke mud kitchens.
