Modern Slavery Survivor Story- Ola

Ola is from Portugal. As a teenager, she dreamt of being a pilot in the Portuguese air force but at the age of 15 lost her father to cancer and subsequently had to abandon her studies. This was over 20 years ago.

From her place of vulnerability she was trafficked within Portugal, was used as a drug mule and was later sentenced to prison. Following her release from prison, she mixed with the wrong crowd and was sexually exploited for a number of years.

Jericho supported Ola for two months and she progressed into work with a well known coffee chain.
